A Collection of Classics in Leather

There are books of which the backs and covers are by far the best parts.

  1. I didn't mean to remove my comment. Once again my brain didn't kick in gear:) So, here it is again...

I've never read "Sailing Alone Around The World", but I must say I do agree with Chris about "The Count of Monte Cristo". I LOVE that book!!
I'll be anxious to hear your verdict. What other books do you highly recommend?

  2. Chris and I agree that "Pride and Prejudice" is excellent.

I know I am supposed to say "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte. But, the rebel in me just can't do it! My favorite Bronte sister is Anne. I really enjoyed reading "The Tentant of Wildfell Hall". It is not well known but it is a fun and colorful read.

    What is your favorite?

  3. My favorite.... after the scriptures, how do you narrow it down?
    So here are a few....
The Man in the Iron Mask (Dumas)
    Team of Rivals (Doris Gooding)
The Worst Hard Time (Timothy Egan)
The Scarlet Pimpernel (acutally I LOVE the movie)
    Stolen Lives (Malika Oufkir)
Winners Never Cheat: Even in Difficult Times (Jon Huntsman)
Flight of the Fisherbird (Nora Martin)

You'll see my likes are very eclectic. My favorite genre is actually historical fiction although you can't tell it from this list:)
