"A knight in shining armor is a knight who has never had his metal truly tested."
Beloved took the Kiddos and I to a dinner show. The Medieval Times show. We were in the blue royalty section and he got front row seats for all of us. So, they gave us extra little goodies for being in the VIP section. Little flags, DVD of the making of the show, pamphlets, etc. It was super fun.
The Children loved cheering on the knights as they jousted and did little horse/rider tricks. The food was good as well. We were rather surprised. The Children thought it was totally funny that they had to eat with their fingers at the show as that is a super "no-no" in this house. So, we had to explain that they did not have forks back then.
During the tournament, the Blue Knight choose the Little Miss to be his Lady. She received a blue sash. She loved it and cheered him on from the crowd. He was bravely tested!
However, after the show when it was time to take a picture with the Princess and the Blue Knight, she went super shy on him. So, all her siblings jumped into the picture with her which made he feel so much better!

Our Family Time at Lego Fest
"To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of stuff." - Thomas Edison
This past weekend, Beloved and I drove the Children to Lego Fest.
They enjoyed their time there very much.
A Lego Master Builder gave a private little talk to a smaller group of Children.
He spoke about what children should study in school if they want to be a "Master Builder."
He asked the children to build either a rocket or a robot.
The Little Lady built a robot dog.
The Master Builder liked it so much that he asked if he could have it.
She gave it to him.
He put it in his pocket and used it in several other of his talks.
He told her that it was the best robot built all weekend.
We thought it was pretty cute too!
The Little Man built a robot at the Master Builder talk too.
A full size Lego Zebra
This is the Toddler Duplo LEGO pile for girls to play in.
The Master Build also grabbed the Little Lady and gave her a little puzzle to try to figure out. He timed her to see how fast she could figure his box puzzle. She did it in under 29 seconds. He said, "Wow. Amazing. 29 seconds. That is the fastest in a long time." He gave her a lego prize.
A very nice Lego Master Builder.
The Little Miss with her lego creation - space ship.
Lego Star Wars
A Lego Competition.
They were to build something with lego that started with the Letter R.
They had two minutes!
The Little Lady made a lego tiger.
And, the boys spent an hour contributing their creations to the Lego U.S.A Map.

A Closer Look at NASA
Going to space and beyond -- unknown
We spent a day over at NASA touring the Apollo and Saturn V Center. Then we cruised around the NASA Center for a fun day of events. We knew the two older ones would really enjoy this educational experience. The Little Lady did Astronomy last year and the Little Man was studying it this year. I wish we could have spent more time there! We only did one day of tours.
Waiting for one of the NASA tours to take us over to some sites...
Rocket Motor
A launch pad
You can drive a bus down one of the stripes in the flag.
The stars in the flag are six feet wide.
This is the assembly building.
Space Shuttle
Moon Buggy
The Astronauts mechanical helper while on the moon
The original computers that were used to launch the Space Shuttle into Space.
Capsule
The Astronauts gloves are the most sensitive part of their body
Old Suits
Astronaut's Hands
A 9 ton constellation Sphere that floats on water.
They are turning it over.
There was so much to do there. We went to the Rocket Garden, the Hubble Telescope area as well. The Children played in the Children's Space Dome too. They have astronauts that give talks daily.
And, the Children did a Space Shuttle Simulation that showed them what it was like to blast in space!
We must go back!
You could easily spend two days doing the tours!
And that is with out doing the wild life refuge that surrounds NASA.

Campers with their Golf Carts
No telling what type of camping neighbor you will get! - unknown
Fort Wilderness Campers have a golf-cart Christmas Parade for Christmas. They decorate their golf carts and toss out candy to the children. It was so fun to watch and we will cast our vote for the one we liked the best.
Just like decorating the campers this was also a big thing....

Christmas Camping
I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
~Charles Dickens
This Season we are spending our Christmas camping down in Florida at a Fort Wilderness Camping Resort. This place is truly into the Christmas Season. You can not go anywhere within the campground without someone saying, "Merry Christmas". You can often hear snippets of conversations about the 'Reason for the Season" too! There isn't any political correctness here! And, oh, the people who are wearing Christmas hats and necklaces and riding around in golf carts decked out in garland and bulbs. Even the horses and horse carriages are fully loaded up with sleigh bells.
But, oh wow... the campers....
We have spent many hours each day just riding our bikes and hiking through the campgrounds just to see the decor. It cracks me up and the Little Ones are finding it fun!
We will let the pictures speak for themselves......
(And if you don't see a camper it is because it is buried. Just know, I stopped posting after several simply because I was over loading my post with pictures!)
Do you see the camper?
Yes, it is some where in there!!!
Well, I guess you get the gist but just in case you haven't...
Just know it is a sight to see and I haven't even shown you the tent section or the cabins!
Here are two pictures to show you that the Christmas cheer is over there too.
This is all just small snapshots of Christmas during the day!
The Christmas lights on the campers are even more amazing at night, of course.
