Reading The Family God Gave

"How blessed he is to have gained Christian Parents." ~ The Family God Gave. (page 5) By Easter Mae Witmer

My Friends adopted a little guy recently. And, when the adoption was final they took a family picture and made up a little package to send to us. Included in the package was several scriptures, a note, and this book from Rod and Staff Publishers. Thank you, so much for thinking of our Family.

Each Night we try to read a chapter of a Book. This Month is "The Family God Gave." This is a delightful story and one that brings Glory to God. It is about the The Crawford Family and how they open their home to foster children of all races. In story book form it teaches how God loves all the children of the world. This is the theme that is woven in the story. Close to the end, the Crawfords move to Guatemala as missionaries, and they have many interesting experiences in the different culture.

  1. How special! We loved reading the Rod and Staff books when my daughter was younger.

  2. I love that idea. We have a nephew that was adopted from Kazakhstan and two cousins adopted through foster care.
