A Beach Stroll

My life is like a stroll on the near to the edge as I can go.” --Thoreau

...  has been my favorite part about staying on the beach during Beloved's business trip.

I am not to keen on getting sun burned in this 95 degree weather! But, the last couple of evenings we would head out around 5pm and spend 4 hours on the beach until it was dark and the Turtles were on their way to the beach to make their nest.

The boys had a blast enjoying the Atlantic Ocean. Well, they enjoyed it until a crab decided to hitch a ride on the Little Man's arm!

The Little Lady jumped waves and collected sea shells.
The Little Miss spent the entire time holding on to  Daddy all the while doing big belly laughs at all the others running and giggling. She wasn't too keen on having sand on her toes.

I walked along the beach with my long dress hiked up to my calves and took pictures of all the  ...

It was relaxing but made me long for the beaches of the low country.

  1. Love it!! We are heading up to Pigeon Forge this afternoon for the weekend to go camping. It's our 10 yr. anniv. tomorrow, so we decided to go away with the family for the weekend.

  2. Oh how I miss walking on the beach! What great pictures you took!

  3. Looks wonderful! Can the same activity be relaxing and invigorating at the same time!?! Cause those are the two words that went thru my mind as I read your post and enjoyed your pictures!

  4. So glad you are having a great time!! Aisling asked me if I thought you needed someone to take care of the kids at the beach or disneyworld.... (grin)
The pictures say it all!! Love it

  5. I'm with you on spending evenings at the beach! I don't like visiting the beach when it's HOT! evening strolls are more my style too:)

  6. Oh beautiful. I so miss our strolls on the beach when we are away from the coast. Great pictures! Thank you for visiting my blog. xxx

  8. Oh the joy in the down time with our nearest and dearest. *smile* Sorry it took me so rediculously long to make time to leave my comment. Thanks for making time to leave a comment at my spot. *smile* By the way, those are little juke box things with a list of songs not just one this time. Like that a bit better I think. *smile* Have a great day. Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & so much more!
