I don't like gourmet cooking or "this" cooking or "that" cooking. I like good cooking." J. Beard
The Little Lady really wants to learn to cook and has shown an interest the past few months. She has been helping off and on with measuring ingredients for awhile now. At this point, she just wants to cook anything so I gave her a cake mix along with some store bought icing and told her to follow the directions. So, except for putting the cake in the oven and taking the cake out, she did everything on her own. She is very excited about her creation -- a white cake with chocolate icing and German pecan icing center.
Looks yummy! She did a great job! Isn't it fun when they venture out on their own to do things like that?!
ReplyDeletePlease tell her she did an excellent job. It looks delicious. It is so good that she is interested in cooking. Enjoy your day and God bless.
ReplyDeleteWow, and we didn't know to come for dinner. It looks delicious and I love pecan icing!! XOXO

ReplyDeleteWell done little lady...looks delicious! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that was so fun for her (and for you to watch) our children all love being in the kitchen as well. This inspires me to just give some control up and let them try their hand at something not too difficult. ☺
ReplyDeleteI love German Cho. icing....hope you save me a piece. Or better yet, have her bake me another cake. She did a great job!!
ReplyDeleteShe did such a GREAT job!! It's so important that little ladies learn how to cook at an early age- and follow directions!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment- I always love hearing from you. Your letters sound so wonderful... your children will so cherish those. Maybe you can even share one or two as a blog post one day? hint hint! ;)
That looks excellent!
