A Day At Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to the largest groups of Nile hippos and African elephants in North America. - Animal Kingdom Facts

I went to a Christian College not to far from Orlando and I use to work for Disney. So, I used to know all the "free" ways to have a really great trip in the area with out spending lots of money. So with that in mind and keeping with the theme of "many first" things to do for the Little Ones, we thought we would see what we could do at the Animal Kingdom.
Oh, also, it was the very first time the Little Ones were introduced to the world of pretend too. Keep in mind the little ones have not been introduced to most of the Disney Characters or many Cartoon Characters so this was a "Whole New World" to them!

Gathering up the sling, the stroller, the cooler and the diaper bag we headed to the transport station. For the Little Man the free ride over on the train from the car to the entrance was the start of a Wide- Eyed experience---- and we had not even arrived at the front gate yet!

The Little Lady has hit the milestone that hurts the pocket book! She has her very own Disney ticket! Luckily, I had tickets from years back that never expired so our day at the park along with our packed lunches could have been free. (The gentleman and the little man were free too!)

Once we entered, we headed in the direction of the Lion King and the Pocahontas show! (Some of Mommy's favorite shows at Animal Kingdom.) Then we went over and met some of the Characters of Disney. Disney has certain times where the characters come out and give their autographs and/or will take a picture with you. Here are a few that the Little Ones met. (It took the Little Man a little more time to warm up to the Disney Friends but he did finally kiss Minnie on the nose.)

We also were able to have a great view of the Disney Parade.
And, the Little Gentleman finally finished one of his many naps in time to be greeted by...

We had hours and hours of fun. --Lots of rides, more shows and more "real" animals!
We walked a lot and we saw a lot. And when it was time to go---Every one was tired and happy!
So, with tickets from years ago getting us in, packed lunches, snacks and drinks, etc , I was able to almost make it through the whole day WITH OUT spending any money. (Amazing for anyone that goes to Disney!) However, I like Mickey and Minnie EARS!

And just minutes after this picture was taken... All were asleep in the car!
