When we got to the table I realized I wasn't in my element!!! So, I looked to my Dad who has made many, many little cars (due to him being in charge of a boy's ministry) for a little help!
Me - "Ummm. Dad, I don't know what I am supposed to be doing?"
Dad - "Carmen, just read the directions!"
Me- " I don't like reading directions. I don't even know how to hammer a nail in straight!"
Dad- "And you said you are going to homeschool!"
Me- "Hammering a nail doesn't have anything to do with Homeschooling!"
I thought, "I need help! Well. At least I can copy what he does and then do it."
So, I opened up the package. "Praise The Lord, everything is pre-drilled!"
With everything being pre-drilled half the battle was over but then I remember I still can't hammer a nail! Okay, I can hammer a nail but not straight! I tired a few times and then began to think, "This takes a lot of practice!" But then I looked over at my Dad to see what to do next. It was at this time, that I saw my daughter, who was doing just fine! And then I realized "No, it is just me who can't hammer a nail."
I got a few nails started for the Little Man but it didn't take me long to realize that I should just move out of the way! Even my two year old could hammer a nail straight.
The Little Man kept saying, "Mom. This is fun."
Beloved likes to do wood work.
And, I am really glad because I sigh with relief that I won't have to teach it.
