A Kansas Zoo

We have traveling with children down to a Science! The little ones do well when we get up in the morning have breakfast and then get in the car. They can travel for about 3 to 4 hours and then we have to stop for lunch. Lunch is always at a place that they can play or walk around for an hour or more. At that time, we get back in the car do 3 or 4 more hours. During this time they nap and watch videos. Then we stop for dinner. Where every we stop for dinner is where we get settled in a hotel room but not before we have stopped and seen a sight or two. Some times it is just to let them play at a soft play at the mall. Other times it is playing in the hotel pool.

Just as we were stopping for our lunch break, my sister called me and asked where we were at on our trip. I told her, "We are in Kansas."
She said, "There is nothing there!"
I told her, "That isn't true. Believe it or not, Beloved found a zoo!"
There was no reason to tell her I brought a book along to read all the way through Kansas! ;)
She said, "I am surprised!"

Yes, a beautiful private zoo. It was lovely. The children were able to stretch their legs and see animals. With temperatures in the 70 and a nice breeze we had a great time. And, we had a cute little tour guide to boot!
