Little Lady's Pink Quilt

Ask not what your fabric can do for you but what you can do for your fabric. - Quilting

The Little Lady's (age 6) 1st Quilt project is complete!

She picked out her fabric.

She traced and cut out her 8 1/2 squares.

She pieced it by sewing 1/4" seem.
She sandwiched it.

She machine embroidered several designs on it.

She quilted it and she sewed the binding.
It was fun watching her get excited about each new step.

Some finer ditails...

We used this dvd to teach her the quilting steps.
The West Ladies: The Art of Quilting

She was so happy about it being completed that she wanted to take a picture of it. Unfortunately, she has a headache and she is feeling tired. She looks so pink! I hope she isn't getting sick.

After this picture was taken she went to sleep for hours and was cuddled with in her quilt.
She seems to be more comfortable now.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Your daughter's quilt is amazing! I bet she feels pretty proud of herself for accomplishing that. I keep trying to get my daughter to get interested in quilting (I lack the machine, so I only know how to do it by hand), but she is more into knitting and other fiber arts type of stuff.

    Blessings!!
