Going from the D on the right hand to the G on the left hand was giving her a fit! After about two days, I took a pencil and wrote the letter G above the note because I was constantly going by and hitting the correct note. The whole senerio made me smile because I was reminded of the scene in the Music Man where Amaryllis was always missing the note in her song during her piano lesson.
I am pleased to say, with very little carpet in this house, I can now open the windows so that the melody of "Jesus Loves Me" filters out into the air sweetly.
I bet she is doing wonderfully!! So glad you're teaching her. :)
ReplyDeleteI remember someone (we won't say who) penciled (more like ingraved)in the key name on/in the wood of a new piano. Hmmmm and they are still there....just saying.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she is making sweet melodies.
Oh, that would be lovely to hear!...it reminded me of that same scene...before you mentioned it! So cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet notes those must be! And I am sure they will get sweeter and sweeter as time passes. May those notes not fall on deaf ears. [o=
