Cat Embroidery

In a cat's world, all things belong to cats, including your cotton loose ends. - Unknown

This old man use to be my cat. He claims his place as the Little Lady's cat now. After all, she has much more interesting projects that need his contribution.

You can see why she is Dakota's favorite now.  Where I keep all the items up and out of the way, she gets down the containers of sewing, knitting and embroidery floss from the guest room closet.

Of course, Dakota thinks it is fabulous that she allows him to attack the ends of the strings as she does her first project. And, of course, I get the royal snub from him when I go around and pick up the pieces.

It should come as no surprise that it was fitting for him to become the icon for her embroidery design. Nothing elaborate for her first project though. A simple picture on felt.

She learned the back stitch and the satin stitch for her little project. And, she has done several more little felt embroidery projects this past weekend too.
