Dakota Hides

"After scolding one's cat one looks into its face and is seized by the ugly suspicion that it understood every word. And has filed it for reference."- Charlotte Gray

This past week I thought the Children let Dakota out. We couldn't find him in the camper anywhere.  So, we went searching for him. After about an hour I abandoned our hunt when Beloved showed up. Of course, Beloved assured the Little Ones that he would help look for him while I prepared dinner. So, off they went searching around some more.

It was about that time that I came back into the camper to discover this over grown cat out of his hiding place and sleeping in the middle of the floor.  I found him like this! Being annoyed with him I took this picture of him sleeping. He gave me the evil eye after the flash went off.

I have no idea how we can lose a cat in a camper but we think we have found all of his hiding spots now.  Who knew he could squeeze into so many small places?

It is a good thing he is loved.

But, it never hurts to remind him that come this fall when the tempature drops and the outside animals are looking for a warm place to stay, he better do his job and keep them out because I expect him to  pay for his room and board!

I scolded him with a threat but as you can see he isn't worried enough to even change positions.

  1. Are you sure you named him correctly?!! Well at least his middle should be Garfield. He is one smart cat.

  4. He's so pretty. And his position reminds me of Henry. I'm glad he allowed you to "find" him!
