Church Sundays

Defending truth and contending for the Faith while carrying the Light of the Gospel into a world shrouded in darkness. - Unknown

One of the hardest things to do when you move is finding a new church to attend.
So we are pleased that we found one that our entire Family enjoys.

It is Bible believing. Expository Preaching.  It is extremely homeschool friendly. The Children all worship and sit together with their Parents. Families bring side dishes and the entire church fellowships by eating a pock-luck dinner after the church service every Sunday.

The Church extends outwards as well -- the Church is very service oriented in the community with all the Family members (from the littlest to the oldest)  working together to serve.

Here is just one example...
A Family signs up to be in charge of a week. They prepare a menu for that weeks community dinner. (The Church buys the food.) Tuesday night, the Family in charge makes sure that the food is prepared, they make sure the tables are set up, and then afterwards the kitchen is cleaned, etc.  Other Families in the Church come out to help as well so although one Family is in charge there are many hands to help. The Families also come to spend time mingling with the community  that comes to eat for free and takes the opportunity to share the love of Jesus!

  1. What a blessing to find a church that you all enjoy. Your church sounds so delightful and not too big.

  2. I love the idea of a community dinner.....a similar idea has been rolling around in my head for a couple of years. I have to keep this in mind when we next discuss this at our leadership meeting:)
