Crock Pot Meat Recipes

"It was a dinner cooked in a pressure cooker. What we need is something that comes out of a crock-pot.... "  J.Taylor

I have always enjoyed trying new recipes so pinterest, clipped recipes from the paper, favorite pot luck recipe brought to a wives groups military meeting or church meeting has always been scarfed up quickly and put in my binder. I suppose it is easy to try new recipes when I have a Family that is okay with me experimenting. It definitely makes it more fun to try new things. I would do it once a week if groceries weren't so expensive but I don't like to risk that many flops!

My goal this year is to make a conscious effort in trying at least 2 new recipes each month.

Crock Pot Packet Roast.
This is my name for it. I looked for the original post so I could credit the blogger for the recipe and picture but I couldn't find anything.
Combine the ranch, italian dressing and brown gravy packets with a 1/2 cup of water and pour over roast in a crock pot.

The directions for this recipe is simple.
Combine the ranch, Italian dressing and brown gravy packets with a 1/2 cup of water and pour over roast in a crock pot.Cook it all day long. * I would make this for a Family Friend Get together. A Roast for our family typically last 2 meals (1 Family Meal and Lunch for Beloved) so I make it often. This is just a nice different spin on my true-and-faithful recipe.

Pulled Boston Butt
Here is the original blog for the recipe and picture.

The directions for this one is simple as well.
A Pork butt, 1 can Pepsi, 1/2 bottle sweet baby ray's BBQ sauce and Lawry's season salt. Coat pork with Lawry's, put all ingredients in crock pot and cook for 4 hours, then use 2 forks to shred the pork and cook for 1 more hour.  (I used the whole thing of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce. We had their smaller bottle in the pantry. I also cooked it all day as well about 7 hours.)  * The Boston Butt is something that I will take to church for our Church Family Dinners.

  3. I found you Mrs. Louellen. I had to go to your sisters blog "Resolve to be" to find the name of Breezy's illustrations. Then, I had to search for her illustrations to find Breezy, so I could get on her pin account so I could find you. It was a hunt but fun and very funny. I couldn't just put your name in there and have you come up for some reason.

  4. I made the crock pot packet roast today. Dad and I enjoyed it. I didn't have a gravy packet but I did have a stew beef packet. It was very yummy and so very easy. Made the camper smell yummy too.
