Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. ~Edith Sitwell
Between the Rices Mixes that smell so good from the Charleston, South Carolina outdoor city market and the Bean Soup Dishes that were picked up at the Amish Country Store in Kentucky, this season has really been inviting me to try some hardy warm Winter meals.
I agree with you! I could eat soups every day during the winter. Today I'm making chicken tortilla soup. I usually make one a week and we eat on it for several days.
ReplyDeleteI love soups...So cozy. We usually do at least one soup a week, especially in the winter. It's simple too, one bowl is able to cover it all.

I love soup as well. In the last couple of weeks I've made ham and beans, vegetable beef and taco soup. But now I'm thinking I need your mom's chicken tortilla soup recipe.
ReplyDeleteIt was a cold rainy day so homemade chili on the menu for us tonight.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy soup here, too. Tonight it was broccoli potato - the other day I made chicken noodle.
