Viewing the Jefferson Davis Monument

"Standing 351 feet tall, it is the fifth talest monument in the United States." Monument Facts.

Don't be fooled. It isn't what you might think it is! This is not the U.S.'s Washington Monument but instead it is the Jefferson Davis Monumenet located in Kentucky.  It is standing in honor of the birth place of the President of the Confederate States of America. 


Beloved's question to me was, "Did you climb the steps?"  I asked, "Would you be impressed if I said yes?!"  I am almost possitive he had a smile on his face when he asked, "Was there an elevator?"

Here is your answer: There are over 460 steps and a very slow elevator that takes 3 minutes to get to the top!  Giggle!
