Christmas Camping

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
~Charles Dickens

This Season we are spending our Christmas camping down in Florida at a Fort Wilderness Camping Resort.  This place is truly into the Christmas Season. You can not go anywhere within the campground without someone saying, "Merry Christmas". You can often hear snippets of conversations about the 'Reason for the Season" too! There isn't any political correctness here! And, oh, the people who are wearing Christmas hats and necklaces and riding around in golf carts decked out in garland and bulbs.  Even the horses and horse carriages are fully loaded up with sleigh bells.

But, oh wow... the campers....
We have spent many hours each day just riding our bikes and hiking through the campgrounds just to see the decor. It cracks me up and the Little Ones are finding it fun!

We will let the pictures speak for themselves......
(And if you don't see a camper it is because it is buried. Just know, I stopped posting after several simply because I was over loading my post with pictures!)

This is one of those eye spy games...
Do you see the camper?
Yes, it is some where in there!!!

Well, I guess you get the gist but just in case you haven't...
Just know it is a sight to see and I haven't even shown you the tent section or the cabins!
Here are two pictures to show you that the Christmas cheer is over there too.

This is all just small snapshots of Christmas during the day!
The Christmas lights on the campers are even more amazing at night, of course.

  3. That's hilarious! I never knew campers would decorate so much! I generally associate snow birds and motor home campers with "packing light" but it looks like they pull out ALL of the stops! LOL! That would be a fun place to tour through. It's snowing heavily in my neck of the woods today, so I'm slightly envious that you are able to ride bikes with the kids. Sounds fabulous!
