The Little Boys Compete

"My competition is not with others. It is against myself." - Dolce

The Little Guys got to compete in their first Horse Competition this past Saturday.
They were so excited!

Another thing, they were excited about was wearing their new ties!
They have been bugging me about buying some for a couple of weeks now.
Don't they look so sharp?

Getting everyone ready is a little crazy at times.
Beloved and I were up a little before 4am.
We put the kiddos in the car and got them ready at the Horse Park.

Their garders didn't fit so we had to wrap them around several times and punch holes to secure them.
Skinny- minis!

The Little Gentleman was so excited that he skipped down the lane to the arena.

Brother and Sister were already warming up.
They were going to compete against each other for the first time in their division.

The Little Gentleman had to wait his turn.

It was worth the wait!
He came home with a blue ribbon which is 1st place here in the US.
(In  the US the blue is first. The red is second. In Canada the red is first and the blue is second.)

The Little Gentleman's favorite color is green.
He wanted a green ribbon.
We had to explain that green ribbons are 6th place and although 6th place is a good too,
He came in first and gets to enjoy brother's favorite color this go around!

The Little Man came home with...
2 Blue Ribbons
1 Red Ribbon
and
A Grand Champion Ribbon

Sister came home with...
2 Red Ribbons
1 Blue Ribbon
and
                                                    A Grand Champion Reserve Ribbon
Yes, the Little Man beat his sister in ribbons.
But, her points equalled his when they were added up.
So, the results ended up that they tied.

  2. This looks like so much fun. I'm glad they got all those ribbons. I think Mom and Dad should get a ribbon too. Enjoy your day and God bless.
